Deposits, cancellations, refunds, allergies
Deposits
Every order requires a minimum 50% deposit to book into the Bakes By Lucy diary. Your order does not stand until this has been paid and you have received confirmation of the order.
Cancellations
We understand that plans can change and will always strive to help you to make changes to your order date/time whenever possible.
All cancellations must be made via instagram message to _bakesbylucy, by phone 07805783979 or via email bakesbylucy@gmail.co.uk, at least one week before your event or scheduled bake. Cancellations left on our voicemail will not be counted.
Cancellations made with less than one week's notice will not receive return of the the 50% deposit.
To ensure the quality and freshness of bakes remains to our high standard we will dispose of any cake or baked item that is not picked up within 48 hours after the due time and you will be liable for the full amount of your order.
Cakes that are not collected will NOT be refunded. Orders that require delivery and cannot be delivered due to customer’s wrong information or availability will be taken back to Bakes By Lucy and stored there until notice from the customer. The customer is liable for the re-delivery fee.
We retain the right to cancel the booking in very unusual circumstances beyond our control, such as fire or ill health, we will in this instance refund any money taken.
Refund policy
As a company policy, we do not offer full refunds for our bakes unless there is an issue where we are found to be at fault.
If you are unsatisfied with your bake, please get in touch within 24 hours of your collected/delivered bake. Please provide reasons why you are unsatisfied. It is important that the cake is returned to Bakes By Lucy (and is not eaten). It is then at our discretion whether you are offered a percentage off of your next order, money back, or credit to be used against a future purchase with us. As taste and texture are subjective, we would not offer credit, money back, or a percentage off for these as reasons.
We cannot be held liable for any damages to bakes once they have been collected by you or delivered to you. If you collect your bake from us, we cannot be held liable for any damages to the cake or products once they have left our premises. When you collect a bake, please ensure that your vehicle has a flat surface and is clean and tidy. Our cakes can be very fragile, so we advise to drive slowly and ensure that your cake cannot move around in the vehicle. During hot weather, it is especially important that you turn the AC on so that the car is cool prior to collection.
Allergies & Special Dietary Requirements:
Please inform us if you, or any of your guests have any allergies, intolerances or special dietary requirements. Cakes can be made dairy free / alcohol free / without nuts / gluten free by request. However, please be aware that all bakes are made in a kitchen where all allergens are handled so whilst every effort is made to minimise risk, cross contamination may occur.
